Before 1983, Cabbage Patch Kids were called Little People. They were developed in 1977 and were originally hand made of cloth and were used as soft sculpture displays. The Cabbage Patch Kids of today come with birth certificates and adoption papers and range from $25 to $1000. Each kid has one-of-a-kind features, a navel and its own name.
